Its really difficult being a journalist, I think. Because what means so much to someone is just another day to you. It becomes more difficult to be shocked by something, because you are exposed to shocking situations all the time.
I think that does numb you. It doesnt make you cold or heartless though.

I mean, this post shows that you still feel for the people whose lives you peep into, whose misery you share for a few seconds.

Its a difficult job. But there are rewards, like you said...

i had no idea as to how its going to be, facing such a difficult emotional outbusrt?? its nice to know from you.as i am quite far away from a journalist’s life style.i am always at the recieving end,its good to know the happenings backstage too.

Nishant, I can empathize to quite an extent – from my own experience in the media. You are too in an extremely priviledged profession – and i think more than before you would be alive, and tuned to people’s sensitivities and experiences! Shine on.

Nishanth i did see the photo in flickr in the morning but i didnt know what to comment .I did write it but then pressed backspace ..I always wondered how a person would feel standing in such a situation and clicking photos..everytime i saw such a photograph in the paper or magazine it made me think ..how much guts/courage one needs to stand there and take this picture ..and i think u have well written in your blog here..
